About Mobile Pantry
Like a market on wheels, the North Texas Food Bank’s Mobile Pantry truck travels North Texas to deliver nutritious food, including fresh produce and refrigerated items, directly to communities with high need. Product from NTFB’s warehouse is loaded onto a truck and delivered to a host site to feed up to 1,000 families on a semi-monthly, or monthly basis. Mobile Pantry is typically set up in an outdoor setting, like a farmer’s market, and clients are served through a drive thru or walk up format. Our priority is to collaborate with community organizations in high need areas to provide access to fresh, perishable grocery products where agencies have limited or no capacity for refrigeration. By providing healthy food, nutrition education, and SNAP services, we hope to address the underlying issues that affect the health and happiness of our clients. Please note: Application process is competitive, with priority given to Food Deserts and other significantly underserved areas/counties.
