Thanks! Before we start, we're going to go through a few things you should know about this application process. Just a few things that are best to clarify upfront so there won't be any confusion later on.

Completing this application and submitting other required documents does not guarantee that we will offer you work. Jobs are offered when available and to the most suitable linguist(s) for that job.

We tend to keep our teams small (we don't have a database of thousands of linguists) and have the same linguists work on a particular client's jobs over the long-term.

As a result, we may wait for a new job or client that your skill set is most suited to before contacting you with a job.

We may require samples of previous work or completion of a translation and/or proofreading test to complete your application.

You may be required to provide a short sample translation or proofread a short document free of charge after completing this application form.

This is very important to ensure you can meet our quality requirements and that your style is a good fit for the type of projects we undertake.

We expect our linguists to do more than simply change the language of a document.

We work hard to provide our clients with tailor-made translations that reflect their brand and value.

It's important that our linguists get alongside this vision and are willing to work with style requirements, carry out research as needed, participate in discussion of issues when needed, and ask questions and provide feedback to ensure the best quality work possible.

We value our linguists and look forward to a long-term relationship that is mutually beneficial.

We see the value in working in smaller teams dedicated to specific clients or projects and would prefer to work with the same linguists long-term rather than always be looking for someone new.

We do our best to give our linguists realistic deadlines and suitable compensation. We won't be emailing you on Friday night with jobs due on Monday morning (unless you want us to!).

Do you agree with the following payment terms?• Linguists are responsible to invoice all work completed in a single calendar month as one invoice by the last day of that month.• Invoices need to be submitted via our Translation Management System.• Payments will be made by the last day of the month after the next, i.e. within approximately 60 days. We are able to process payments earlier in some cases, but often projects require a month or more to be completed, accepted, and paid for by the end client.
