PlantForward . Be Kind
PlantForward for a Better Future
We all wish to go back in time to life before the pandemic, when the world was flourishing in harmony and kindness. But what can we do?
With October and November being the World Vegetarian Month and the World Vegan Month respectively, there is no better time for restaurants and food businesses to kick-start plant-based menus. With a rising consumer consciousness on social and environmental responsibility, this will undoubtedly receive widespread support. According to the recent 2020 survey conducted by IPSOS, 34% of Hong Kong’s population identified as flexitarians, and 83% expressed their willingness to adopt healthier eating habits by reducing meat consumption. "Go Green" is not just an attitude, but the ultimate direction that all corporations should be heading to.
Be Kind to your body. Going plant-based reduces the risk of developing CVD and ischemic heart disease by 13% and 19% respectively. (1)
Be Kind to the planet. Shifting away from meat-centric eating habits could reduce as much as 1/5 of Greenhouse Gases emissions to confine global warming within the 1.5°C limit. (2)
Be Kind to all beings. We could live out a vibrant and energetic life without harming other beings on Earth.
It's time to "PlantForward" together.
