Weekly Program Sessions
Check which program dates you would like to register for. We will contact you if a session is cancelled due to weather or illness. You will receive a confirmation email that will allow you to edit your submission. Registration is helpful if there are last minute changes, but we understand if you can't make it sometimes. Thank you!
SUNDAY ERVING PLAYTIME: Erving Elementary School, 28 Northfield Road, Erving at 10:00am -11:30am . Families are invited to participate in a playgroup for young children held in the school gymnasium. Socialize, make new friends, play and learn! Facilitated by Gillian & Jenn.
*SPECIAL* PARENT CAFE for Families with Young Children: IN PERSON at the Shutesbury Elementary School. Pizza dinner at 6:00. 6:30 -7:30. Child Care and Parent Discussion. Parent led. REGISTRATION REQUIRED. We will follow-up about dinner and child care.
*SPECIAL* CNC HIKE MEET UP: Family and Dad Meet Ups on local trails. Register to receive location and cancellation information.
*SPECIAL*Me, You, We Program at the New Salem Library 10:00 - 11:00am on Tuesdays. This will be a temporary program in place of Tales & Tunes. Free take home kits to extend learning at the last session. Meet new friends and practice important social-emotional skills. LIMITED TO 10 FAMILIES
READY ROSIE- SIGN UP! Would you like to support your 3-4 year-old child with activities at home? Check the box to be contacted about Ready Rosie - a 4-week program with a new session starting in April. Activity kits delivered each week! For families with 3-4 year-old children in Erving, Leverett, New Salem, Wendell and Shutesbury. Priority given to those children not currently enrolled in a school program. LAST READY ROSIE PROGRAM!
TUESDAY: TALES & TUNES in New Salem with Katie at 10:00am. Families are invited to participate in a music and literacy based program with books, rhymes, music and movement. To be held INSIDE at the New Salem Library. Thank you to the New Salem Library for collaborating and supporting this program.
WEDNESDAYS: WENDELL LIBRARY PLAYGROUP- 10:00- 11:00 am Play outside on the playground and socialize with other families, practice playing together, join in on activities, make friends. Facilitated by Sylvia. Wendell Library, 7 Wendell Depot Rd. We will hold the session inside if too wet.
WEDNESDAY Leverett Library Playgroup with Gillian at the Leverett Library- 10:30am. Free play time for families with children 0-5 years of age with a short circle time and books to wrap up!
FRIDAY: TALES & TUNES in SHUTESBURY with Katie at 8:45am. Families are invited to participate in a music and literacy based program with books, rhymes, music and movement. To be held INSIDE at the Shutesbury Elementary School. Thank you to the M.N. Spear Memorial Library and the Shutesbury Elementary school for collaborating and supporting this program.
SUMMER Series Music and Movement with TOM & LAURIE: Supported by our local libraries and local Cultural Councils in Erving, Leverett, New Salem, Shutesbury and Wendell. Each week a different location and time with the same wonderful music and movement for families!
Parent Child Plus- SIGN UP! We are now enrolling families for our NEW home visiting program for families with children 18 months - 3 years of age children in Erving, Leverett, New Salem, Wendell and Shutesbury. Home visits 2x a week for half-an-hour from January 2023- June 2023. Free books and toys for every participant! FREE!
BONDING WITH BOOKS: GREAT opportunity for a special family story time and parent education program called Bonding with Books with educators from the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art. Save the dates: Mondays, February 6, March 13, and April 10. To be held at the New Salem Library. Free resources and snack for participating families!
*SPECIAL* FAMILIES IN NATURE with the Hitchcock Center behind the Leverett Library. All sessions to be held at 10:00am on Thursdays. Interactive, in-person family program providing inquiry based environmental and outdoor education for small groups to explore nature. The program will include 3- 1 hour sessions. Intended for young children 2 -6 years of age. Funded in part by the Leverett Cultural Council and with support from the Leverett Library.
