• 2022 Downtown Bryan Lighted Parade Application

  • The Downtown Bryan Holiday Stroll & Lighted Parade presented by BCS Toyota is happening Thursday, December 8, 2022, at 6 p.m. The Parade starts at 6:30 p.m.

    The theme for the parade this year is Holidays Are Sweeter in Bryan!

    Prizes will be awarded to the floats with the best-themed decorations decided by our judging panel! (Some examples of this theme include Gingerbread Houses, Peppermints, Candy Canes, etc.).

    Please review all application instructions carefully and note that the deadline for submitting the application is 5 p.m. Thursday, December 1, 2022. 

    *There will be a $35 entry fee for non-profit organizations (501c3 or 501c6), and a $50 entry fee for any for-profit organizations*

    The $35/$50 application fee MUST be received by 5 p.m. Thursday, December 1, 2022. The fee is non-refundable unless Destination Bryan cancels the parade due to inclement weather.

    You will be notified of your application status by email once the $35/$50 application fee has been received.

    If your application is accepted, you or a member of your group must attend the mandatory parade meeting on Monday, December 5th at 6:30 p.m. at the Design Spark Innovation Center (3891 S. Traditions Drive Bryan, TX 77807)

  • Parade Route:

    The parade will start at the intersection of Bryan Ave and 24th Street, head south on Bryan Ave and turn east (left) on 28th Street. Then it will turn north (left) up Main Street and continue north (straight).

  • Please read through the Parade Entry Rules and General Rules listed below. By signing your name at the end of this form, you have acknowledged and agreed to abide by these rules.

    Parade Entry Rules:

    • Applications and the $35/$50 participation fee must be received by 5 p.m. Thursday, December 1, 2022.
    • All vehicles and floats must-have holiday lights to be accepted as an entry.
    • All parade entries are only allowed to broadcast Holiday music that is indicated on their application. Music should be traditional holiday tunes.
    • Destination Bryan will supply the only Santa Claus. No other Santa Claus look-a-likes of any shape or form will be allowed.
    • Children (15 years old and younger) participating in the parade must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
    • No float and/or vehicle is to be left unattended at any time while waiting for the parade to start.
    • The following vehicles will be ALLOWED on the parade route:
      Car clubs consisting of antique and performance cars are allowed. Max of ten (10) vehicles is allowed per car club entry.
    • Motorcycle clubs are allowed. Max of ten (10) motorcycles is allowed per motorcycle club entry.
    • Vehicles of any year, make, or model may be used to pull floats, carry officials, or other dignitaries.
    • Vehicles with hydraulic lift systems are NOT allowed.
    • Political groups are NOT allowed.
    • To all vehicular (including emergency vehicles) and motorcycle entries:
      • NO “HARD” REVVING OF ENGINES OR SIRENS
      • NO SPINNING ON TIRES
      • NO “HARD” LAUNCHING OF VEHICLES/MOTORCYCLES
      • NO POINTING VEHICLES/MOTORCYCLES TOWARDS THE CROWD
      • NO HYDRAULICS
    • Destination Bryan reserves the right to disallow inappropriate entries.

    General Rules:

    • Entrants must be in their assigned staging space by 5:30 p.m. All entries will be checked by the parade director to ensure all “Parade Entry Rules” are followed.
    • The parade will start promptly at 6:30 p.m.
    • All entrants and participants are expected to follow appropriate public conduct at all times during the event.
    • Applicants assume all responsibility for loss or damage in connection with their float entry at the Downtown Bryan Holiday Stroll & Lighted Parade.
    • Entrants may NOT hand out candy or other items along the parade route.
    • All vehicles in the parade must carry liability insurance.
    • No smoking, vaping, or consumption of alcohol will be allowed in the parade or staging areas.
    • The Destination Bryan reserves the right to cancel the parade for any reason - including inclement weather.
    • The safety of our patrons is important to us. For this reason, all pets/animals in the parade must be entered and associated with an approved animal organization. For example P.A.W.S., Adopt-A-Pet, etc.
    • The parade director and his designees reserve the right to dismiss any animal and their handler if deemed unsafe and a risk to the patrons of the parade.
    • All local, state and federal laws will apply for this event.
  • Please read and agree to the following statement. It is a legally binding agreement and affects rights you may have if you are injured in any way during the course of your participation in the activity.

    My signature acknowledges that I will be present at the Downtown Bryan Holiday Stroll & Lighted Parade. I agree to arrive at my assigned time and location. I agree to follow all rules and regulations set forth by Destination Bryan and understand that failure to do so can result in immediate expulsion without a refund. I will have no illegal substances or weapons on my person, or my vehicle during the Parade. I, ________________________, the Undersigned, binding my heirs, executors, administrators, estate and assigns, do hereby agree to completely and wholly release, indemnify and hold harmless Destination Bryan, the City of Bryan, its officers, agents, independent contractors, and employees for any and all claims, damages, harm, personal injury, including death, property damage, lawsuits and judgments, including court costs, expenses, and reasonable attorney’s fees, and all other expenses resulting from the activities, programs, and events occurring on the above-state date of the parade in Bryan, Texas. It is the understanding of all parties that this release, indemnity, and hold harmless agreement shall apply whether or not the claims, damages, harm, personal injury, including deaths, property damage, lawsuits, judgments, court costs, attorney’s fees, or any other expense arise from the negligence of whatever nature, omissions, willful or intentional acts of the vendors or vendor’s officers, agents, employees, independent contractors, other representatives, invites, licensees, or guests. If this applicant is other than an individual, vendor certifies, warrant and represents that the individual whose signature appears below is duly authorized to execute this Agreement on behalf of the firm, corporation, partnership or other entity who is the participant.
