What is Recovery? Exploring the Recovery Model and VHA’s Psychosocial Fellowship
Join ArizOTA's Mental Health SIS on Monday, January 31, as Wynne Scherf, OTR/L presents on the Recovery Model of psychosocial rehabilitation and resources for promoting recovery.
This interactive presentation will encourage participants to reflect on the OT role within a recovery model, and to identify strategies to align their treatment with recovery principles. The presentation will also include an orientation to a post graduate, advanced training opportunity within the Veterans Health Administration: The Interprofessional Fellowship in Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Recovery.
About the Speaker
Wynne works with homeless and newly housed veterans in Washington State. She has 6 years’ experience in mental health practice primarily in the Veterans Health Administration.
After this 1.5-hour presentation, participants will be able to:
State the components of mental health recovery
Identify OT role and interventions within a recovery model
Describe the VHA Interprofessional Fellowship in Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Recovery Oriented Services
