- Project or initiative must be focused on Downtown San Diego.
- Occur within the timeframe of January 2022 – January 2023.

Grow Urban Sustainability Award
Presented to a projector organization that is leading by example in commitment to environmentalexcellence, initiatives that support sustainability, or adding green spaces in Downtown San Diego.
Reason for Nomination
Small Business Impact Award 
Presented to a small business that has gone above and beyond in their commitment to the Downtown community over the past year to positively impact our urban center through their mission or work. NOTE: We encourage both self-nominations and nominations on behalf of an exemplary small business. Small business location or primary activities must be based in Downtown San Diego in order to be eligible.
Reason for Nomination
Government Partner of the Year Award 
Presented to an individual from a city, county, state, or other government partner in recognition of their work to ensure Downtown is a vibrant and dynamic economic center.

Cultural Vitality Award
Presented in recognition of contributions to the vibrancy of Downtown San Diego’s communities and culture. NOTE: This award can be given in recognition of an individual, organization, project, or collaborative effort which impacted the cultural vitality of Downtown San Diego.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Award
Presented to a company or organization in recognition of their active steps to build a more diverse, inclusive, and equitable climate within their organization and/or community.  NOTE: Eligible organizations include those based in Downtown, those whose services or activities are focused primarily in Downtown, or Downtown Partnership members.
Reason for Nomination
Jim Dawe Humanitarian Award
Presented to an individual or organization in recognition of humanitarian efforts that have enriched and improved our urban center, its neighborhoods, and its residents. NOTE: Both virtual and in-person volunteer efforts are eligible for recognition in this category.

Presented in recognition of career-spanning visionary leadership to better Downtown San Diego.

Presented in recognition of projects, initiatives or efforts that are shaping the future of Downtown’s economic prosperity and the unique live, work, play environment of our urban neighborhoods. NOTE: Both completed, or in-progress initiatives, efforts or projects are eligible for recognition in this category.
