London Chess League Congress Entry Form

Venue is the Mindsports Centre, 21 Dalling Rd, London W6 0JD.

Due to limited capacity, entries are not considered accepted until the entry fee has been paid. Entries are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Any problems with this form email secretary@londonchess.org.uk.

The tournament is TWO SECTIONS, 5 rounds, swiss format (not a knockout)

Round 1 on Friday 18.30 (6.30pm to 10.30pm)
Round 2 & 3 on Saturday 10.00am and 15.00 (3pm)
Round 4 & 5 on Sunday 10.00am and 15.00 (3pm)

Time control: (90min + 30 sec/move)

Byes: Players may take up to 2 half-point Byes in any round except the final round, where you can take a zero point bye.

Open £450 (£200 £150 £100)
U1800 £320 (£150 £100 £70)

You must be Under 1800 in both the ECF and FIDE standard lists at the start of the event if you wish to play in the Under 1800 section. We reserve the right to move players up to the Open. The higher of the two ratings will be used to determine seeding and eligibility for any other prizes.

£45.00 for all players (£15.00 surcharge for English players with ECF membership below Gold level)

We have an on-site bar that sells alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks as well as toasted sandwiches! Please note that outside food/drink is not allowed.

Please enter early to avoid disappointment - entries will be closed when we become oversubscribed to keep control of the number of participants.

COVID Protocols:

There are currently no planned requirements to wear face masks during the tournament or have other COVID precautionary measures, but the London Chess League reserves the right to change this policy as they see fit
