Preparation for Retreat or Teachings

Preparation 1) 

Retreats are open to VNOS members only.

Membership is available here: https://www.venerable-namgyel-online-sangha.com/membership. 

Please return to this form for retreat registration once your membership has been approved.

 
Preparation 2) 

Fill in the Dharma Background Form: https://forms.gle/pAhWxA1nfEbX1M4c7

We have a special request from Gen Namgyel-la for the students to give information about their Dharma background. You will only have to fill in the Dharma Background Form once, as it will be kept in our data bank and the information used for future teachings and retreats.

Please kindly note that we can only process applications from students who have already filled in the Dharma Background Form. 

Preparation 3) 
During the retreat, every student's screen must be on, student's microphones must be muted—unless the student is addressed by the teacher, or during Q&A—and the students should behave as if in a meditation hall surrounded by other students.

Scholarship: Financial conditions should never be an obstacle to studying the Dharma. In order to support monks, nuns and laypeople who have the passion to learn Buddhism but have difficulties to donate, our scholarship program provides help. *Dana is a Sanskrit and Pali word that means "generosity" in the sense of providing benefit to others and also cultivating a generous attitude oneself. Thank you for your kind offerings to Gen Namgyel-la and VNOS so that we can continue our work to benefit others in so many ways.

Donation Amount 

The minimum amount is USD 35 for one day retreat, USD 70 for two days retreat, and USD105 for three day retreat.
