What to expect
Led by our Folksy Family teacher, child and caregiver will move through the morning with ease and gentility. Upon arrival, families will gather together for a circle time with music and storytelling, then caregivers can sit around our classroom table to work on a handwork project for their child. This may include felting, knitting, or sewing. Materials will be provided and absolute beginners are welcome. We will help you through the process of building your skills in handwork and creation and leave you feeling good about your ability to create something treasured for your child.
While the caregivers create, children are welcome to help you or play with loose parts and other soft play toys provided. Children are expected to caretake and treat our environment with kindness, and caregivers are expected to uphold our house boundaries and rules for their children.
The families will then dress for the outdoors, and then head to our playgarden for winter fun. A warm drink and fresh cookie will be provided to enjoy with your child.
