Places / Spaces / Faces
The world around us is a canvas of places and spaces that shape our experiences and interactions. From the bustling streets of urban landscapes to the tranquil solitude of untouched nature, from the intimate corners of personal spaces to the vast expanses of shared environments, and from the familiar faces of loved ones to the anonymous countenances of strangers, our surroundings and the people within them tell a myriad of stories waiting to be told.
We are excited to announce our upcoming art exhibition themed "Places / Spaces / Faces." This exhibition aims to celebrate the diversity and complexity of the world we inhabit and the individuals who populate it. Through this showcase, we seek to explore the intricate relationships between places, spaces, and faces, as well as the emotions and narratives they evoke.
Call for Art:
We invite artists of all abilities from the broader Los Angeles community to submit their artworks that explore the theme of "Places / Spaces / Faces." Whether it's a realistic portrayal of a beloved location, an abstract interpretation of a personal space, or a detailed depiction of a familiar or unfamiliar face, we encourage you to share your unique vision and perspective.

L.A. GOAL is a non-profit organization that partners with adults with developmental disabilities and their support networks to assist them in living more fulfilling lives. Our goal is to create more opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities to thrive across all aspects of life, have meaningful relationships, and feel a sense of belonging within society. We continuously strive to understand our Members’ needs, how they evolve over time, and how they are affected by shifting societal dynamics and inequities. We help the public see beyond ability or disability to honor the core being of our Members and ourselves.
Inside Out Productions (IOP) is a social enterprise and professional art studio that demonstrates what’s possible when Members are at the center of an environment where they can flourish. We launched Inside Out Productions in 1991 in order to employ Members as Artists and to sell their artwork. Through Inside Out Productions, we see L.A. GOAL’s values in action: when people’s core needs are met and their talent is recognized, they can grow, express themselves, and engage in meaningful work.
