Guidelines for Application

Genre: musician, artist (visual or performance), a writer (any genre, including journalism) or educator in an arts or letters field

Body of work: work as evidenced by resume, vita, list of exhibits, publications

Ongoing artistic production: documentable evidence of continued creative production over time, new exhibits, publications or other creative media

Commitment to the arts community: documentable evidence of support of the arts through affiliation with arts groups, education, and promotion

Commitment to the greater San Antonio community: documentable evidence of community involvement

Award Type (choose one)*

Artistic Merit: an individual who is the most compelling artist working in their discipline and has a diverse portfolio of accomplishments.Arts Education: an individual who is a dedicated arts educator and showcases transformational leadership in arts education and active within the community.Public Leadership in the Arts: a public official or previously elected official showcasing strong advocacy efforts in support for the arts community.Young Artist (Rising Star): an individual under the age of 21 who is an emerging voice in the arts community and trailblazer within their artistry.Legacy: an individual who has an extensive artistic portfolio in their field and whose work has had a lasting impression on the San Antonio arts community.
