Please know that we protect your privacy at all times. We NEVER share your PII to include names, contact information, details of your situation, address or unit with the public. Only our Executive Director and President see your application and LES. Our Board of Directors decide collectively how to respond based on a synopsis (names removed) by the Executive Director.
After your application is approved, here is our typical course of action for Christmas assistance:
1. If your active duty service is confirmed, you will be placed on our wait list until we are able to find a donor(s) to assist.
2. Once we have located a donor(s) to help, Cindy, our Executive Director, will contact you to let you know you're family will be taken off our wait list. Cindy will provide a private, password protected wish list form and we will get working on helping.
3. If your needs are big and more than we would ask of any one family or business to provide for Christmas, we would require the ability to issue an action alert to see if we can come up with donations specific to your situation. We do not do this without your permission, and if your needs are greater than what our Christmas program can provide, we won't be able to help without an action alert.
Here is an example action alert: "ACTION ALERT: A military family of 3 in CA has lost their home in the fires. We are currently collecting gently used furniture (2 twin beds, queen bed, table/chairs, living room furniture), clothing (size 4T girls, size M womens, and size XL mens), Visa/Amex gift cards and online donations to be able to help them recover as much as possible. Donations may be dropped at XYZ locations and online donations may be made through the following link: XYZ"
We will never post action alerts without your permission.
Please know that acceptance of your application does NOT guarantee that we will be able to find donors in your area. We will try our best!
