  • Thank you for your interest in today's children learning about Jesus through Child Evangelism Fellowship ministries.  


    This form is used to register participation in programs sponsored by Child Evangelism Fellowship including Good News Club, JYC, Party Clubs and CEF Special Events such as Good News Spectacular, Fairs, community events, etc. 

    CEF requires a background check for anyone volunteering.  All volunteers 12 and over are required to comply with Child Evangelism Fellowship Child Protection Policy.

    Register each time you desire to participate in an ministry of CEF.  The Ministry year runs from September - August of the next year.   

    Each ministry year all workers are required to sign the Worker Compliance Agreement.   

    When a minor turns 18, register as an adult and provide the required authorization to run a background check. 

    If a volunteer is inactive for over a year, the background check will be run again.

  • Following are some important considerations for all who will volunteer and have direct contact with the children through CEF ministries.

    • CEF does online background checks utilizing a secure server so that your information is safe.
    • All volunteers (age 18 and older) and CEF missionaries are required to undergo a national criminal background check.
    • All approved workers receive a required nametag upon completion of steps 1-3.
    • You will be redirected to a secure site to complete the screening process. 

    There are three steps required for volunteer participation:

    STEP 1:  PRIOR to COMPLETING THE ONLINE BACKGROUND CHECK APPLICATION
    Complete the following:

    • Read the Statement of Faith       www.cefonline.com/statementoffaith

    • This is to be signed annually.
    • Read the Child Protection Policy        www.cefonline.com/policy 
    • Watch the 12-minute "Protecting Today’s Child"   presentation www.cefonline.com/childprotection              or listen at 1-866-878-4182.   This is to be viewed annually.
    • For New Volunteers - Gather the information to enter online:

    ·  Your salvation testimony.

    ·  Reference contact information (name, phone, email). This should include pastor or church leader, previous employer, and two personal references. No relatives please.

    ·  Previous addresses (last 5 years)

    ·  Social Security Number (adults only)

    STEP 2  -  COMPLETE THE BACKGROUND CHECK AUTHORIZATION below

    STEP 3: ID CHECK AND INTERVIEW for the New Volunteer
    This final step will be completed by your CEF team leader prior to serving.

    • You will be required to show a photo ID (driver's license, passport, or school ID) and answer a few interview questions.

    Once all steps are completed, you will receive your nametag, indicating that you are a screened volunteer.

  • Child Protection Policy for Minors

    1. Complete this volunteer ministry registration. 
    2. Provide Four (4) references (including at one that is a pastor or youth leader) 
    3. View "Protecting Today's Child" (10 min) online presentation (Click here to view) or listen by calling 1-866-878-4182
    4. Read and agree with CEF Child Protection Policy, Statement of Faith and Worker Compliance Agreement
    5. Sign and submit the Worker Compliance Agreement


    A face to face interview will be set up with the closest CEF representative to view your government issued photo I.D. and conduct a short interview. If photo id is not available please bring a copy of the birth certificate and be accompanied by a parent or guardian.  
      
    All of these steps must be complete and on file in the Local CEF office prior to becoming involved in any CEF minsitry.

    Provide Contact Information for four references.
  • If you have not been involved with CEF in the last six months, we are required to check references again.  Please provide accurate contact information.
