FRESHForce, Feeding Tampa Bay’s newest program, works with veterans, adults with disabilities, ex-offenders, and disconnected youth to breakdown common barriers to the workforce and give them opportunities for success. Feeding Tampa Bay selects the best-qualified applicants to participate in the FRESHForce Program.
APPLYING FOR FRESHFORCE
All applicants must meet the following criteria:
High School Diploma or GED preferred, or the ability to meet minimum aptitude requirements based on curriculum needs
Minimum 18 years of age
Authorized to work in the US
Must have the physical ability to perform the program requirements
Must agree to a background check and drug test and provide criminal history
Applicants must submit the following in order to be considered for the Program.
1. Completed and signed application
2. Complete and pass a background & drug test meeting the following criteria:
a. All criminal activity records must be at least years prior to the application date and will then be considered on a case-by-case basis in conformance with all applicable federal, state and local laws.
3. Complete a I-9 Form and provide a copy of a valid Florida Driver License or State of Florida Government issued photo ID; Social Security Card or passport
Current employees with a satisfactory employment status may apply for openings in the FreshForce program. Consent of the employee’s manager is necessary for employee to participate in the program.
Internal candidates who are not selected will be notified by the FreshForce Program Director.
The FreshForce program will screen applications and resumes prior to scheduling interviews. Initial interviews are generally conducted by the hiring manager using a structured interview process.
FreshForce will conduct professional reference checks and employment verification on all potential candidates.
Background & Drug Testing
Background checks will include criminal history, drug testing, and driving record, or any other relevant information for the job. Feeding Tampa Bay conducts background checks in conformance with all applicable federal and state laws. Criminal history records will be considered on a case by case basis for each open position.
After a decision has been made to select a candidate, a verbal offer will be made contingent on the satisfactory completion of required background checks and drug testing.
Once the HR department receives satisfactory results from all required background checks and drug tests, candidates will be provided with a final program offer.
