How to Update Your Original PDF in Smart PDF Forms

Jotform Smart PDF Forms allows you to convert your existing PDF forms into online forms. When you update your original PDF, the existing mapped fields on your web form will remain intact. This means you can modify your PDF while preserving the field mappings. See How to Use Smart PDF Forms to learn more.

To update your original PDF:

  1. In Smart PDF Forms, go to Upload at the top.
  2. Select Update PDF.
Steps to update the original PDF document in Jotform Smart PDF Forms
  1. In the dialog box, select Re-Upload PDF and choose your PDF file.
    Caution: Selecting and confirming Start Over will delete everything on your form including submission data.

You should now see your new PDF document in Smart PDF Forms with the field maps intact. Smart PDF Forms supports PDF files with up to 25 pages (50 for Gold and Enterprise users).
