Adding a feedback form to Joomla 1.6

Last Update: May 8, 2017

1. Click the "Publish" menu. Go to "Embed" section and then click the "Feedback Button" option.

2. After that, click the "Copy Code" button.

3. Open Joomla Administrator Menu, select "Template Manager" under "Extensions" from the top menu.

4. Click Templates.

5. Click your default template.

6. Click on "Edit main page" template.

7. Paste the copied code from JotForm between the head tags.

8. If you use Joomla template method to display header information in your template "<jdoc:include type="head">", Mootool files comes with Joomla. In some browsers this can conflict with Prototype.js. To remove Mootools library paste the below code just above the header tag "<jdoc:include type="head">".

$user =& JFactory::getUser();
if ($user->get('guest') == 1) {
$headerstuff = $this->getHeadData();
$headerstuff['scripts'] = array();
$this->setHeadData($headerstuff); }
<jdoc:include type="head" />

9. Save the template and you will see the Feedback button on the site.

Hi, I will like to display my form in the main component position. I am copying and pasting the code between the {} right after the sintax "#main_component {
}" but nothing happens...maybe I can't place the form as the main component? thanks!
