How to manage multiple fields

Last Update: August 28, 2016

You can now DuplicateDelete, and Move multiple fields in the form builder by using the Manage Multiple Fields tool. This tool is especially useful when creating forms that require a lot of fields and when applying multiple dynamic fields on Smart Forms.

The Manage Multiple Fields tool can be found within the properties settings of any of the fields in the form while in the Form Builder

Simply select a field in the form and open its property settings.

1. After selecting a field, click the "Properties"  (down arrow)

2. Click on the Manage Multiple Fields option in the pull-down property box.

In the Field Manager Wizard dialog box, you can now:

a. Delete

b. Duplicate

c. Move

d. Require/Unrequire

e. Read Only

a. DELETE: Click on each individual field to select specific fields only or use the Select All button to select all fields instead then click "Delete" button:

b. DUPLICATE: Click on each individual field to select specific fields only or use the Select All button to select all fields instead then click "Duplicate" button:

Using the Duplicate button, the fields can also be Moved to a specific position in the form. Either of the following:

1. At the Bottom of the Form

2. At Top of the Form

3. After field: When you click this option, it will show you a Dropdown Menu with all the list of your form fields. Just select the field you want to move the fields you've selected from the wizard.

Click "Duplicate" button to Finish.

c. Move: Click on each individual field to select specific fields only or use the Select All button to select all fields instead then just "DRAG" the fields either up to down to a specific field. After you drag the field(s), you'll see a text that says "xxx Fields Moved"

d. Require/Unrequire: Click on each individual field to select specific fields only or use the Select All button to select all fields instead then click "Require or Unrequire" button:

You'll see that each required fields are marked with a red asterisk (*). Go ahead and start building your smarter and longer forms!

e. Read Only. Select the fields you want to set as read only fields. After that, click the "Read Only" button from the window.

Hello,
There is any way I can import/move some fields from a form already created in a new one (both from JotForm)?
The case is that I created several forms, but then realized there it would be better to create just one containing all the fields from the other ones. I'll have to re-create all the fields on the new one, or I can use the fields I created on the previous forms, just moving then to the new form?
Thank you
Renato

The Unrequire button only works when a single field is selected. When I select more than 1 field to apply this condition to, nothing happens.

Is this a "user error" on my part?

I am using Chrome browser Version 31.0.1650.63, which is up to date.

Hi, is there a way to make that if a certain option is selected then the next question will appear?

Ie "1) Do you want this?" If yes is selected then "1b) How many?" will appear

Thanks in advance.

I would like to create a form where there are three requests per line. The first two requests would have a drop-down list and the last field would have a user input.
I would have the user after completing the third item use the enter key to duplicate the previous line for additional input, for the same questions. Once the line is complete and the user has completed that section, when he used the tab key the cursor would move to the next field. For example in submitting a recipe, field one would be numerical quantity; 1/2, 1-1/2, etc, field two would be unit of measure; tsp, cup, gal, etc. and the third field would be ingredient.
Is this available?
Thank you.
