The ’description’ in Stripe depends on the product name. If this is a donation payment type form, you can adjust a ’Payment Box Sub Label’. The ’Payment Box Sub Label’ value will be passed as a description. You can also send data from a Short Text Entry field type as a custom field to Stripe. Stripe supports accepting ACH payments—direct from bank accounts—alongside credit cards. ACH is currently supported only for Stripe businesses based in the U.S.

All card numbers are encrypted at rest with AES-256. Decryption keys are stored on separate machines. None of Stripe’s internal servers and daemons are able to obtain plaintext card numbers; instead, they can just request that cards be sent to a service provider on a static whitelist.
