Deadline: September 30, 2018
This project has been in the works for quite some time. As a hospice veterinarian, I’ve helped thousands of families through the end of life process with their pet. And many times, I know that no matter what I say or recommend, it’s the gentle wisdom of a friend, family member, or even stranger that can help someone prepare for the next step.
This Compassion Project was built from the idea that sharing our stories with others is the most powerful way to compound our experiences and feel comfortable with our decisions. Your stories, suggestions, and words of wisdom will be gathered into a book that, combined with a veterinary medical perspective, will be the most extensive source of knowledge for families facing the end of life of their pet.
This book is targeted to be released in mid 2019. As we gather stories, we will reach out with more information!
We encourage you to be as detailed as possible in sharing your story. Thank you for taking the time to help others while honoring the memory of your pet!
We will reach out to you personally when we’ve received your story. Actual names will not be used unless you approve.
