EVENT RULES
PLEASE READ
CAREFULLY
1. These rules apply to all contestants and any violation will warrant disciplinary action and/or disqualification from the tournament. Any protest must be received by the Tournament Director within 10 minutes of the closing of the scales. Contestants are obligated to report any and all infractions they see within a timely manner. Tournament Director may act on any issue without protest. All decisions by the Tournament Director will be final.
2. Persons under the age of 18 must have the signature of a parent or guardian in the space provided on the entry. (See "Partner #2 eSignature)
3. All state, federal and local lake regulations must be obeyed.
4. All entrants are subject to a polygraph test. Failure to take or pass such test will warrant disqualification. Anyone who has failed a polygraph test in connection with cheating will not be eligible.
5. All contestants are required and expected to follow a high standard of courtesy and sportsmanship during the tournament and weigh in. This includes respecting other anglers, both tournament and non. Complaints for discourteous conduct will be handled as an infraction on the rules.
6. A U.S. Coast Guard approved PFD must be worn and fastened while the combustion engine is in gear. NO EXCEPTIONS.
7. All boats must meet U.S. Coast Guard standards and outboards cannot exceed the maximum HP rating for that boat. Boats must have a kill switch that is attached to the driver while the engine is in gear. Outboard motor must be water cooled.
8. Alcohol and/or narcotics will not be allowed in contestant’s possession during the tournament hours. Exception will be legal prescriptions. Alcohol may be allowed after the contestant has weighed in, but not if they are subject to a polygraph test.
9. During the hours of competition, contestants may not receive information or help from a non-competitor. This will be enforced. No “Hole” sitting allowed.
10. Boats must have an operating live well with an aerator system. Teams must cull on the 6th fish.
11. All fishing will be done with artificial lures only. Pork will be allowed. Only one rod and reel will be used at a time. No trolling with the combustion engine and all fish must be caught in a legal and sporting manner. No fishing within 25 yards of another tournament boat that is previously anchored with the troll motor up.
12. No off-limits prior to the event.
13. Penalties: There will be a .5 (1/2 lb.) penalty for each dead fish brought to the scales. There will be a 1 lb. penalty and the loss of the fish for any fish that does not touch the minimum length set for that tournament. Any fish that falls within the “Slot Limit” on a slot lake will warrant a 1 lb. penalty and loss of that fish to that team’s weight.
14. This event is a scramble tournament. You may fish Toledo Bend, Black Lake Campti, Red River, Lake Bistineau, Grand Bayou, Brandy Branch, Lake Of The Pines, Black Bayou (Hosston), Cross Lake, or Caddo Lake. All lake regulations will be followed including a 14”-18” slot for Caddo and a 14” minimum length for Toledo Bend. All fish must be 12” minimum. All boats must use a public ramp (accessible to anyone) to launch from.
15. Fishing Times: Start fishing time - First cast will be 6:15 am. Stop fishing time - Absolutely no casting after 3:00 pm of the Tournament day. Teams must be checked in with tournament officials at the weigh-in site by 4:00 pm. Official Time will be kept by tournament director at the site of the weigh in.
16. Scoring will be determined by the total weight of not more than 5 bass per team. Fish will be measured on a flat board with mouth closed. Any teams that tie will will split equally any prize money.
17. Entries not received online, in person or through mail by Friday March 1st 2017 will be considered late and will be assessed a $10.00 late fee. Late entries will also be received durring buisness hours through Friday March 10th, 2017, prior to the event at the designated weigh-in site, Fishing Fenzy Tackle in Stonewall. 18. Entry will be $200.00 per team big bass included. $50 optional "SIDE SHOOTER" bonus (see below). Any team entering after March 1st will be assessed a $10.00 late fee.
19. “SIDE SHOOTER” bonus will be $50 per team (total entry $250) and includes one shirt and hat per team member. The highest finishing registered team will win double prize money. (ex 1st Place = $5000 + SIDE SHOOTER = $10000). Bonus awarded to ONLY ONE TEAM. Teams will not be allowed to buy in after event begins. Hat must be worn when weighing in. It's understood that some anglers have jersey obligations but bonus shirt must be with angler and available for photos. Shirts and hats will be available for pickup the week prior to the event. 20. It is mandatory that all participants read and thoroughly understand all of the rules, regulations and bonus/incentive programs before participating in our tournament.
