• It is time to register for to be on our team for Miles for Meaning! Miles for Meaning is a 31-day distance-based challenge. Team Survivor Northwest is competing against other nonprofit organizations in the US to see which team can log the most miles walking, running, hiking or doing other workouts that track miles (excludes cycling). If you join our team, you will track your miles everyday on the free Kilter app over the course of a month. You will see live updates on a leaderboard, earn awesome prizes, and fundraise to support our mission.

The competition will run from March 1st - March 31st. Coach Denise will be your weekly trainer and optional training sessions will take place each Friday night from 6pm-7pm in March. We will all be able to see each other's progress automatically through the app and we will cheer each other on as we pull Team Survivor ahead!

    Helpful Details:

    • Kick-off . The Team Survivor kick-off event will be February 26th at 6:00pm . Optional weekly training will take place every Friday at 6:00pm in March. The final celebration will take place April 2nd at 6:00pm.
    • Gear.  All you need is a smart phone. If you have an app like Google Fit, Fitbit, Garmin Connect, Stava, Apple HealthKit, etc. your workout will automatically upload, but a fitness watch is not required.
    • Tracking Miles.  Tracking is easy and mostly happens automatically once the free Kilter app is set up. Just start and stop a workout activity for miles and points to be counted. Team Survivor & Kilter will make sure that you are all set up before the competition begins.
    • Teams. There are up to 100 people allowed on each team and our goal is to have a full team.
    • Who Can Join.  Priority registration was first given to Team Survivor members. Now it is open to ALL supporters who want to be active and help women cancer survivors. Invite your friends & family!
    • Fundraising. In addition to a healthy fitness competition, this is also an opportunity for your friends and family to support your goals and donate to TSNW, whose mission is to support your health. The recommended goal for each participant is to collect $500 in donations, but you can set a goal that you feel is realistic for you. (Not required, but encouraged.) This is easy with the Kilter app that sends invites and tracks donations so you can see who donated and personally thank them.
    • Prizes. The team that logs the most miles will win a $25,000 donation! There will also be $1,000 matching donations for the first 50 charities to raise $1,000. And there will be lots of individual prizes to be announced along the way!
