  • My Assumptions

    Dear {name:first},

There are a lot of factors that could impact sales and I won't have all that information unless I dug deeper into your website data and asked a lot more questions. You will have to consider these as you develop your sales funnel. Some of the things that could impact sales through your website are: search engine optimization, traffic source, product type and cost, device (mobile, tablet, or pc), platform (windows, Mac, iOS, Android, etc.), reviews, delivery options, and location. This report is based on a perfect world assuming that you have no website issues, no abandoned carts, a global customer base, and so on. I assumed that about 4.4% (the standard benchmark) of visitors would actually add an item to your cart. I also assumed that at least half of the customers who add items to your cart will actually checkout. A lot of people add items and never checkout. Lastly, the targets that I provide are estimates.

  • Woohoo! {name:first},

You now have a sales funnel plan for {whatIs37}.

I hope the numbers don't scare you. My advice is not to focus on the numbers, but to use them as targets. Your focus should be on how you reach the targets and tracking your progress. The next step is to make sure that you are setup to collect as much data as you can from your website. You can do that using google analytics or any other tool that collects data. Then you should expand or adjust the sales funnel so that it takes into account any impacts that I wasn't aware of. You can also add more levels to the sales funnel to track more details so that you are able to get more precise with numbers regarding customers who visit your website but don't end up purchasing from you. Then you should create a measurement system for each level of the funnel. It is recommended that you start at the bottom (#4 of the funnel) by measuring your revenue goal which is the most important goal. If you don't feel comfortable creating a measurement system, do some research or you could always hire someone to do it for you. Finally, you would setup activities that takes customers through your sales funnel; like ads, lead magnets, emails, upsells, etc. to guide customers through to sales. Implementing a sales funnel can be a scary and daunting task, but what you may not realize is that you already have some of the steps in place. It's just a matter of restructuring it so that you can manage it with ease. Once you do that you will start to see results. Good luck to you and happy sales!!
