Conditions for Community Service
For the purposes of volunteerism by court order, it is understood by the Volunteer that a volunteer must not have been charged, accused, or convicted of criminal offenses involving the following:
- Committing acts of violence or threats of violence
- Illegal possession of dangerous weapons
- Possession of illegal substances
- Inappropriate sexual behavior
- Theft or fraud in the last 10 years.
In the event that such volunteer act is due to court order, Volunteer shall disclose the purpose and the offense or infraction committed for which community service is required. It shall be understood and shall be the responsibility of both parties that any discussion or information exchanged between them shall be kept in confidence.
It shall be the responsibility of the volunteer to furnish the Organization the official documents pertaining to the order for community service, the decision of the court in relation to the offense charged, any plea bargain agreement or motion to dismiss the charges and appeal. During the period of service, Volunteer shall keep the Organization updated relating to any decision made by the court.
