Camp Tzadi is a faith-based residential camp committed to providing a safe, respectful environment where campers can grow in character, discipleship, and community. For the protection of all campers and staff, Camp Tzadi maintains a zero-tolerance policy for conduct that threatens safety, violates boundaries, or undermines the camp environment.
Camp Tzadi is a faith-based program for campers from Messianic homes. Participation requires that campers and their families agree to abide by Camp Tzadi’s biblical standards of conduct, modesty, and sexual morality. Camp Tzadi is not able to accommodate or affirm conduct, expression, or instruction that conflicts with these standards. If a camper or family is unwilling to comply with these expectations, the camper may be deemed ineligible to attend or may be dismissed.
Zero Tolerance Behaviors: The following behaviors may result in immediate removal from activities, parent/guardian contact, and dismissal from camp (without refund, as outlined in camp policy), and may also be reported to appropriate authorities when required:
1) Bullying and Harassment: Bullying or harassment of any kind—verbal, physical, social, or online—is strictly prohibited, including repeated teasing, humiliation, intimidation, exclusion, hazing, or targeting; name-calling, slurs, mocking, threats, coercion, or “jokes” meant to degrade others; and harassment based on any personal characteristic, including appearance, race, nationality, disability, religion, or perceived differences.
2) Threats, Violence, or Dangerous Conduct: Any of the following behaviors are strictly prohibited: any threat of harm (whether direct or implied), fighting or any physical aggression including hitting, pushing, choking, or assault; possession, bringing, or use of weapons—or any item used as a weapon; encouraging or pressuring others to harm someone (including “dares”) or inciting fear or panic; and any property destruction, vandalism, or theft.
3) Sexual Misconduct and Sexualized Behavior
Camp Tzadi is a modesty-minded environment. The following are prohibited:
- Sexual harassment (unwanted comments, gestures, touching, stalking, or pressure)
- Sexualized language, “sexual jokes,” explicit storytelling, or graphic descriptions
Sharing, requesting, or discussing pornography or sexual content
Showing or sending sexual images, videos, messages, or links (including on phones) - Pressuring others into sexual conversations or romantic/sexual attention
Violations of privacy (entering changing areas/bathrooms/cabins improperly, voyeurism, exposing oneself, or filming/photographing anyone in private settings) - Note: Age-appropriate questions should be brought to staff privately. Campers should not process sexual topics with other campers.
4) Boundary Violations and Disruptive Advocacy - Camp Tzadi is a faith-based program with biblical standards for modesty, privacy, and sexual morality. Camp is not a venue for campaigning, pressuring others, or promoting ideologies or content that conflicts with the camp’s statement of faith and conduct standards—especially on sensitive topics related to sexuality and gender.
Campers are expected to:
- Follow staff direction regarding respectful speech and appropriate topics
- Respect sex-separated spaces and supervision rules (cabins, bathrooms, changing areas)
- Avoid debates, recruitment, or persistent conversations that create division, discomfort, or confusion among campers
If a camper repeatedly refuses redirection, uses the topic to provoke others, or pressures others to adopt a viewpoint, the camper may be dismissed.
Sexuality and Gender Topics: Camp Tzadi maintains sex-separated cabin, bathroom, and changing-area policies and expects campers to respect privacy and boundaries. Camp Tzadi does not facilitate, coach, or affirm social or medical gender transition, and theCamp does not permit campers to use camp programming or community life to advocate for, pressure others toward, or promote views or identities regarding sexuality or gender that conflict with Camp Tzadi’s statement of faith and conduct standards. Persistent refusal to follow staff direction on these matters, or behavior that creates discomfort, division, or confusion among campers, may result in dismissal.
