Director Positions
Director of Administration
The Director of Administration is responsible for overseeing the attendee registration aspects of the conference and resolving any issues with registration. The Director of Administration is mostly focused on answering attendees' concerns, as well as team and workshop assignments. The Director of Administration should have previous experience working with Jotform and Excel, and should be proficient in drafting professional emails. Time management skills, proactivity, and dedication to the conference are key personality traits of the Director of Administration.
Director of Conference
The Director of Conference is responsible for contacting the venue, selecting the case study, and working with the Director of Logistics with room assignment and set up. The Director of Conference is also responsible for managing other conference events such as the scavenger hunt challenge, attendee socials (if applicable), and creating conference resources. They are also responsible for creating any conference handbooks. The Director of Conference should be extremely detail-oriented and efficient, doing tasks as soon as they are assigned.
Director of Human Resources
The Director of Human Resources is responsible for the management of all external guests, such as workshop hosts, speakers, and volunteers. The Director of Human Resources will be contacting these guests regularly leading up to the conference, and as such, should possess strong communication skills and be punctual. The Director of Human Resources should be prudent and proactive.
Director of Marketing
The Director of Marketing is responsible for promoting the conference to past (target) and potentially new audience members, including past attendees and schools. They are also responsible for creating posts, managing the social media accounts, maintaining the conference website, and hiring a media team. The Director of Marketing should be proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Wix. The Director of Marketing should be creative, committed to the conference, and actively working on finding new ways to promote their conference. Miscellaneous tasks include mass emails, handbook design, etc. The Director of Marketing should be quick to finish any tasks assigned.
Director of Logistics
The Director of Logistics is responsible for planning all the details of the event and working with numerous other executive team members on case selection, room assignment, schedule creation, etc. The Director of Logistics will help confirm the venue and create the floor plan. They will also be responsible for the management of conference materials such as name tags and cases, and will be planning the activities of the attendees. The Director of Logistics should be extremely logical and detail-oriented.
Director of Sponsorship
The Director of Sponsorship is responsible for contacting potential sponsors and securing sponsorship funds for their respective conferences. The Director of Sponsorship should be unafraid to email, cold-call, or even book an in-person meeting with potential sponsors. They should be extremely proactive and dedicated to the conference.
