Foster Agreement & Acknowledgment
By submitting this application electronically, I certify that I have read and understand the information provided in this application and that all information I have submitted is true and accurate to the best of my knowledge.
I understand that submitting a foster application does not guarantee approval. Cruzan Satos Rescue carefully reviews each application to ensure the best possible match for both the foster family and the dog.
As a foster volunteer, I understand that I am providing a safe, loving, temporary home for a dog until a permanent adoptive home is found. I agree to provide appropriate daily care, including food, water, exercise, socialization, transportation to approved veterinary appointments when needed, and to communicate regularly with the rescue regarding the dog's health, behavior, and progress.
I understand that I may be asked to assist with adoption efforts by providing updates, photos, videos, responding to approved adopter inquiries, and participating in meet-and-greets with potential adopters. As a Foster, you have first right to adopt the dogs you Foster with CSR the foster will remain CSR property until an adoption agreement is signed and adoption fee is paid.
I agree that any foster dog remains the property of Cruzan Satos Rescue until officially adopted and may not be given away, sold, transferred, or surrendered to another individual, organization, or shelter without prior written approval from the rescue.
If I am no longer able to foster my assigned dog, I agree to notify Cruzan Satos Rescue as soon as possible and, whenever feasible, provide at least two weeks' notice to allow the rescue time to secure another appropriate foster placement. I understand that the dog must be returned directly to Cruzan Satos Rescue or to another foster approved by the rescue.
I understand that fostering animals carries inherent risks. I accept responsibility for supervising and caring for my foster dog while it is in my custody. I voluntarily release and hold harmless Cruzan Satos Rescue, its volunteers, officers, directors, and representatives from any claims, damages, injuries, losses, costs, or liabilities arising from my participation in the foster program or from the actions or behavior of the foster dog, except where prohibited by law.
By signing electronically, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agree to comply with the policies and expectations of Cruzan Satos Rescue's foster program.
