The Black Immigrant Leadership Academy (BILA) is a project of the United African Organization which is designed to strengthen the capacity of community-based organizations serving Black immigrant and refugee communities across Illinois.
Now in its second year, the Dr. Eustace L Kaijage Program is an initiative under BILA that seeks to nurture effective leadership of Black immigrant-serving organizations.
Program Eligibility:
Open to Black-led organizations serving African, Caribbean and other Black immigrants and refugees in Illinois.
Requirements:
~Non-Profit organization must be based in Illinois;
~Non-501(c)(3) organizations must apply for IRS determination during the program;

Compensation:
Selected organizations will receive up to $50,000 to achieve program goals. Funds will cover staff time, supplies and other expenses.
Training:
Training will be catered to the needs of program participants who will work together as a cohort to achieve program goals.
