Thank you for your interest in learning English with Educafe!

Educafe works in partnership with local adult education providers, including Berkshire School of English, Newbury College, and West Berkshire Council, to offer a wide range of language support courses. These courses are designed to help you improve your English, making it easier to access community services, healthcare, further education, training, and employment opportunities. With courses available for different purposes and at various levels of English, we ensure there’s something suitable for everyone.

To get started, please fill out this registration form. This helps us learn more about you, your current English level, and the course(s) you're interested in. Once we review your details, we’ll contact you with course options that suit your needs.

Most courses are free for eligible residents of West Berkshire, although you may need to buy workbooks and course books.

If you're unsure about your English level, don’t worry—your teacher will assess it for you.

    English Levels:
    Beginner A1-A2 (Entry 1)
    Improver B1 (Entry 2-3)
    Upper Intermediate/Advanced B2-C1 (Level 1 & 2)

Some courses are held online, while others are face-to-face at locations like Newbury College, the library, or local community hubs.

For online courses, you’ll need WiFi, an email address, and a device with audio and video (PC, laptop, or phone). If you’re unfamiliar with online learning, we can help you with a connection and equipment check before your first class. A friend can also join you during lessons if you need extra support.

    Eligibility:
Most courses are free for eligible West Berkshire residents who have lived in the UK for at least three years and hold settled status. You will need to provide ID, proof of residency, and any relevant visa documents. Asylum seekers must have been in the UK for a minimum of six months before applying.

    Important:
Learners who are unable to complete their course may be required to pay an Educafe administration fee of £145. Students are expected to attend at least six sessions of their course.

Please complete the form carefully, and if you need assistance, feel free to contact us at 01635 936211. We’ll do our best to assign you a course as soon as possible.
We look forward to helping you on your journey to improving your English!
    Best wishes,
    Educafe
