UU's on the Hill 2025

Due to overwhelming interest, there is now a wait list to join for Hill Day!

We are working to confirm attendance for everyone that has signed up. Once we have a final headcount, we will reach back out to invite you to join us if space opens up.

You are invited to speak justice in the language of your faith at a Pre-GA Hill Day at the US Capitol!

Begin your General Assembly journey early by joining a UUs for Social Justice (UUSJ) and UU Service Committee (UUSC) led advocacy outing on Capitol Hill to make our voices and values heard - loud and clear - as we mobilize with our UU partners.

The human rights violations and environmental harm enacted by the new administration in just a few weeks requires a collective faithful response. The assault on immigrants and our constitutional norms must be challenged. Join us in holding our elected representatives accountable - whether that means pushing back against fascism or celebrating those resisting.

Schedule of events:

Advocacy Basics training session: TBD, mid May on Zoom

Policy Focus training session: TBD, early June on Zoom

Working dinner: Monday, June 16th 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm - TBD, Washington, D.C

Congressional office visits: Tuesday, June 17th 9:30 am - 5:30 pm - TBD, Washington, D.C.

Open-air worship and peaceful vigil (plus debrief): Tuesday, June 17th 6:00 pm

Please make sure they are old enough to learn from and enjoy the event if you wish to bring them to the meetings.
Children under 18 must be supervised by parents at all times.
There will be childcare provided if you do not wish to bring your children to the meetings themselves!
