Kimberwalli Back to School 2027
Helping our young people start the school year ready to learn!

Kimberwalli is pleased to support Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander high school students as they get ready for the 2027 school year.

We know getting ready for school can be expensive for families. Our Back to School resource packs include essential school supplies to help our young people start the year prepared and ready to learn.

Resource packs can be collected on Tuesday 19 January 2027, during our Back to School Community Day at Kimberwalli, 1C Mimika Avenue, Whalan.

Back to School Community Day
We warmly invite families to join us at Kimberwalli for a fun day celebrating our young people and the start of a new school year. There will be plenty of fun activities for the whole family, including:

Rides
Cultural activities
Face painting
Lots of other family-friendly fun!

Families will also have the chance to yarn with different services and get support, including:

Hearing Australia and Mobileyes – limited eye, dental and hearing checks
NSW Health – vaccinations
NSW Births, Deaths and Marriages – help with birth certificates
NSW Department of Education – friendly staff available to yarn about school, learning and support for your child

How do I apply for a school resource pack?
If you would like your child to receive a Back to School resource pack, please complete this form.

A few important things to know:-

Please complete one form for each child.
The child must be enrolled in a public school within NSW.
Only register each child once.
Packs are limited, so completing this form does not mean your child will receive one.
If your child is allocated a pack, we will send you a text message (SMS) by Friday 4 December 2026.
All allocated packs must be collected from Kimberwalli on Tuesday 19 January 2027.
