• Act out of concern for the spiritual welfare of staff and guests.
• Be willing to perfor tasks broader than assigned.
• Seek to keep myself and others above reproach.
• Respect the areas of camp. Get permission before going places you are not sure of and/or using equipment.

• No dating is allowed while campers/guests are on site. (Conduct yourself in such a way that people observing you would not know you are dating.
• When campers/guests are on site, dating is permitted as long as the couple remains above reproach (in public and minimal physical contact). At no time should a couple be alone/isolated at camp. They should be around others and/or in a readily visible and public area. 

• Curfew is 12 a.m.
• Volunteers are expected to be in their cabins/housing at the time of curfew, not just "at camp".

• No swimming by yourself; an individual male and female may not swim together.
• Church attendance over the weekend is expected unless actively working with a retreat group during that time.
• Visitors are only allowed with the permission of the camp director, Jim Patten, and need to be pre-approved by asking ahead of time.
• Phones should be used minimally while campers/guests are present.
• Music should not be played within hearing of campers/guests. While campers are on site, only Christian music is to be played.

• Volunteer staff may use the "staff" refrigerator when eating meals outside the normal dining hall meal times. ONLY food in the staff refrigerator may be used. Use only disposable plates, etc. After volunteers have eaten, the kitchen and dining hall should be left as clean or even cleaner than before the volunteers were there.

• Camp vehicles may not be used unless given permission by full-time staff.
• The number of passengers per vehicle is limited to the number of seatbelts in the vehicle. Seatbelts should be worn at all times in regular vehicles.

• Please take care of the cabin/house you stay in and help reset it before you leave.

• Volunteers' dress should reflect modesty and sensitivity to thouse around us, staff and campers/guests alike.
  • Women: the following types of clothing are not to be worn around camp and/or mixed company: midriff shirts or tops, halter tops, sheer garments, shorts shorter than finger-tip length, yoga/spandex pants or shorts. Tank tops straps should be about 1 inch in width (or about 2 fingers). Logos or prints must not be offensive or promote anything that conflicts with biblical standards (this includes secular bands and political messages).
    • Swimsuits are to be one piece that adequately and fully cover the feminine parts of the body. Swimsuits should only be worn in the swim areas. En route to swimming areas, a cover must be worn.
  • Men: the following types of clothing are not to be worn around camp and/or mixed company: midriff shirts or sheer garments. Tank tops and t-shirts should cover the sides of the body and tank top straps should be around 1 inch in width (or about 2 fingers). Logos or prints must not be offensive or promote anything that conflicts with biblical standards (this includes secular bands and political messages).
    • Swimsuits are to be boxer-type shorts and should be of modest length to provide adequate coverage. Swimsuits should only be worn in the swim areas. En route to swimming areas, a cover must be worn.

As a volunteer, I agree to abide by these guidelines over the 2026-2027 retreat season. If I have questions or disagreement with any of these items, I will immediately seek clarification from Jim Patten.
