  • Eligibility Requirements

    (Application Revised January 2022)
  • - Incoming Freshman through incoming Senior at a two (2) or four (4) year accredited college as a full-time student

    - Must be a U.S. Citizen

    - Must be a current active member of USA WATER SKI & WAKE SPORTS: AWSA-ABC-AKA-AWSWS-NSSA-NCWSA-NWSRA-USAWB-USHA

    - Award will be made to an undergraduate student and for no more than (3) academic years. Recipients must attend school for the full year during the year of receipt.

    - Completed applications must be received by 11:59pm ET April 1. 

    - It is the responsibility of the applicant to make sure the completed and signed application, official documentation, references and essay/video link have been received by USA-WWF by deadline.  DOUBLE CHECK EVERYTHING!

  • Read and follow the instructions carefully prior to submitting your application. 

    All winners will be notified before July 15th.

    1. Fill out the online application completely.
    2. Complete Essay or Video answering the essay question.
    3. Provide two (2) recommendation letters.
    4. Provide official documentation of classes/courses taken with grades and GPA in form of a transcript or grade report. Documentation must either show work in progress or that the student is currently a full-time student.  If applicant is a college freshman, include official documentation from high school and proof of college enrollment.

  • If selected, you will be asked for documentation to support the data you provide. Likewise, all correspondence and award agreements will be generated from the personal information submitted below. So, please use proper spelling, capitalization and punctuation.

  • List only two references not related to you: one academic (college professor/instructor/academic advisor), one other (connection with water skiing). Give each reference either the Academic Reference Form or the  Water Sports Reference Form to be completed. It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure the Reference Forms are included with the letter of reference and are received by USA-WWF by April 1 of the application year.

    *Applications will be rejected if reference forms are not received by deadline.*

    Please submit your story in a 500-word essay or 3-5 minute video.
