SRPD Recommendation Form

A student who applied for SRPD funds recently listed you as a mentor who could A) recommend them for the funding, and, depending on the nature of the project, B) mentor them throughout their project.

Because student applications are due on the 5th of the month (August – April), we ask that you submit your recommendation by responding to this email within 1 week of the student’s deadline – the 12th of the month. You should find their application materials attached to this email should you want to review them.

Students need two references to complete this form, one which must be from a WNMU faculty member with relevant expertise, who should be available to offer advice and support to the student throughout the project. Student proposals will not be reviewed without the receipt of two reference/mentor recommendation forms.

Optional Request for Mentor Stipend: Faculty who are working closely with students for any type of funding may request and justify their need for stipends for training and mentoring students. The amount of time the student and mentor contribute to the project will be considered (up to $500).
