Adding Forms to Wordpress

Last Update: January 13, 2014

WordPress is web software you can use to create a beautiful website or blog. We like to say that WordPress is both free and priceless at the same time. Now, adding JotForm forms to a Wordpress blog post/page is pretty easy.

1. While in our form builder. Click "Setup & Embed" tab on the toolbar, click on "Embed Form" button.

2. From the Form Embed Wizard. Click on "Wordpress" option from the Other Platforms section:

3. Copy the code provided.

4. On a WordPress "Add New Page/Post" page, click on "HTML or Text" tab above post textarea.

5. Paste the form embed codes into the HTML/Text area.

6. Don't forget to save your post/page. That's it. Click on Preview or View on your Wordpress dashboard to see your form.

Note:

Adding forms to Wordpress.com is not possible since Wordpress.com does not allow forms, JavaScript or iFrames.

Alternatively, you can also use our WordPress Embed Form Plugin: Embed Form Plugin for Wordpress. Check for the installation guide: Embed Form Plugin Installation.

The Java features work great on Wordpress sites that are NOT hosted on wordpress.com. Here is a form on my site: http://www.collegepeas.com/money/

this is an old version of Wordpress. Here is a form on a newer version of Wordpress: http://www.tradeshowsamurai.com/contact-us/

I followed the instructions and yet the form does not show up. Is there a reason why or another way to do this?

I am currently using my form as a Lightbox and pasting it in my Wordpress sidebar. The link appears as simple text. I would like to change that to an image. How can I do that?

You all replied to me on twitter and gave me the link to this adding forms help page.
When I go to the embed form option, there is no embed form wizard that enables me to select the wordpress option.
What it does show me is a small dialogue box with the source code and button options to either customize or preview it.

This works until you click the "Visual" tab and save changes... it deletes the jotform script.

Solution: How to add a jotform form to a Wordpress Blog ( self hosted )

Note: this only works on self hosted wordpress blogs...

Install this wordpress pluging called "Iframe Preserver"
http://resultzdigital.com/wordpress-plugins/

Activate it....

Get the iframe embed code from jotform for your form...

For those people who are having trouble with WordPress automatically deleting the JavaScript code I created a small plugin that prevents that from happening.

is anyone having an issue with the "submit" button not appearing on your page in Wordpress? I have a self-hosted site and everything shows withe the exception of the "submit" button.

I have tried both the javascript option and the plug-in.

Hi. I have our website mapped to Wordpress.
www.doghousing.org
In order to be able to add plug-ins, do we have to have the "custom design" purchased? I don't have a selection option of plug-ins on the left hand side of my dashboard.

I created this form:
http://form.jotform.us/form/23195833228154
I've embedded it into our Facebook and would like to embed it into our website so we're consistent with the form people fill out.

The form appears fine for me using the plugin, however once you press submit it produces a frame that says "oops form not found"

It displays my form id but with two == behind it. Not sure how to get round this...

:/

My form id : 30753496546362==
Website : www.underthemilkwood.com
