  • Form builder apps are some of the most versatile tools out there. There's really no limit to what you can do with forms: generate leads on your website, register attendees for an event, make an easy place for people to contact you, or even build an order form.

However, capturing that information is just a piece of the puzzle. What do you do with all that new data? Traditionally you'd need to export the data out of your form app, and then manually enter it by hand into any of the multitude of apps you use to run your business. But wouldn't it be great if that data automatically appeared in those other apps you're using? Enter Zapier.

With Zapier, you can automatically have that data directly entered into other apps you're using. You could have leads go directly to your CRM or turn contact form entries directly into tickets in your help desk system—and so much more. We asked a few people who are automating their JotForm data with Zapier to share their stories on how they are getting the most out of automating their form entries.

    Introducing Monstroid

In the peak of their popularity for all-in-one themes, the guys from TemplateMonster have launched their most ambitious project yet – Monstroid.

What exactly is Monstroid and why is it the only theme you need for WordPress sites? It’s like a Swiss army knife of WordPress Themes, for starting any WordPress-based website. It’s the result of thirteen years leading the world of website templates, so we decided to take a closer look.
  • JotForm has always been secure in our almost ten years of being the easiest online form builder. Well, we just raised the bar higher. Now you have the ability to designate your forms as encrypted. An Encrypted Form is one where the user’s responses are transferred and stored in an encrypted format. They are encrypted in the browser of the person filling out the form, and can’t be seen by anyone else at any time. This added level of security is of most interest to users handling the most sensitive data with extra privacy needs.

  • July 4th is almost here, so you know what that means! Fireworks, barbeques, and a lot of red, white, and blue. What better way to celebrate America’s independence than a party with your all of your friends and family? With JotForm, you can create an invitation that allows for the collection of all and any information that you may need. Your friends and family can RSVP through the invitation, as well as answer any additional information that you require, such as what items they’re bringing to share if your party is potluck style. You can design the invitation to fit the theme, and send it off to your friends and family through email! You can be notified each time a guest RSVPs.

Here’s a quick how-to that will help you celebrate in style.

  • Jason Gershenson is a lawyer and a JotForm user. Lawyers have to keep track of a lot of information is a highly organized way, and have no time for manual tasks like filling in spreadsheets with contact information and notes on new clients. JotForm helps tackle organizational duties, leaving you to have more time to focus on core projects.

Below, Jason explains how JotForm has helped his company.

I'm an attorney for tech startups and entrepreneurs. I saw a market need for lawyers that could relate to founders, as well as work at their pace in the trenches. I was an entrepreneur once too, and felt that I was well situated to explain and apply the law in the context of business. I opened Gershenson Law in 2013.

  • With JotForm’s recent release of Form Analytics many users have been taking advantage of the real time data readily available in our easy-to-use interface. In seconds people can find a wealth of information, displayed in attractive charts and graphs and sortable by custom date range. We sent out a survey to a handful of our more active users to gauge their response, learn what features they liked, and to see what features they might hope to be included in a later version.

The results are in- JotForm users love Form Analytics. How are they using it though? That varies from person to person. Here are some of the highlights.

My history with JotForm: I discovered JotForm a few years ago, while searching for an easier way to collect registrations for the sports camps my husband and I help churches present in their communities

around the country during our summers off (we're both teachers). We transitioned from paper registrations and data entry (yuck!), to online registration and payment by check, to online registration AND payment.

Back in 2004, websites looked cluttered. Pale color schemes, starburst effect, all-flash sites, patterns and textures were in the highest demand among web developers. This has changed a lot over the years. Clean and minimalist layouts with the main focus on detail has gained popularity among web designers. Today, heavy design elements have been replaced with neat icons that add an elegant, stylish look to web pages

  • If you’re new to JotForm - or maybe you recently migrated from Adobe FormsCentral - you may not be familiar with how easy it is to turn your ordinary looking form into a gorgeous piece of online art. JotForm’s incredibly advanced Form Designer allows your inner designer to shine; it’s the easiest tool around for creating customized, beautiful form themes that don’t require any knowledge of complicated CSS.

With that being said, here are a few pointers to get you started.

  • Most users enjoy the simplicity of JotForm. Build a form, post it on your website, and receive email notifications every time someone responds. This keeps a great many JotForm customers happy. Sometimes you want to do more with the information you collect, though. Perhaps you want to build a web page based on your form responses. For this JotForm gives you a full API to access your data whenever you want.

The Washington Post recently found JotForm to be the right tool for a special project. They set up a jotform to collect information on cooking classes. The goal was to create a dynamically constructed web page that would connect to JotForm and post the latest updates on the class.

  • Form creators should try to seek a delicate balance between collecting all of the needed information and making sure that the form visitor completes the form all the way through. To achieve the highest conversion rate possible, the form must be concise. Especially for more time-consuming and intensive forms, every form field that lacks an excellent user experience risks abandonment. Luckily, JotForm offers 382 widgets that can make your form better. Here are some highlighted widgets that can save you time.
