I am excited about the growth we have been seeing with Form Templates. It has turned out to be the greatest addition we’ve made to Jotform. We released it almost two years ago and the usage numbers are staggering.
People have shared 5,000 forms on Form Templates. And, those templates were used 640,000 times to create new forms. We did some experiments comparing the amount of time it takes to create forms from scratch versus using templates. Creating forms using form templates saves about 10 minutes for each form. So, according to our estimates, Form Templates have saved our users over 100,000 hours.
But, the secret to Form Template’s success is not in the numbers. It is in the quality and diversity of the shared forms. You just need to take 5 minutes to browse the template gallery to see what I mean.
Our mission has always been to make form building quick and easy for everybody. Creating a form is not limited to adding a list of questions to a page. To create a good web form you need to think about various things. How should you word your forms? What questions should you ask? What questions should you NOT ask? Should you optimize your forms in length and clarity so that more people will complete them?
Form Templates help you come up with ideas about what to include and what not to include in your forms. When I need to create a survey, the first thing I do is to review surveys in Form Templates. I get lots of ideas this way. If I see something good I take a note of it to use it in my form.
We have added multi-language support to form templates last summer. The adoption is growing and we already have forms in 38 languages.

I LOVE templates more than Ice cream! And being late is just the way it is. I just found my Jotform account today and I signed up last January.

Congratulations - I can only hope that you continue to develop Jotforms and please put priority on Functions and Reliability. Design is nice but comes 3rd in the list. I have been able to do almost all I need (with some workarounds)and now rely on Jotform a lot.
