Upload to Dropbox with JotForm

Last Update: April 10, 2012

First of all, you should have an upload field on your form to integrate your forms with Dropbox. This way, you will directly receive uploads to your Dropbox in no time. Let's look on how to allow a single form to upload to your Dropbox in a few steps.

1. Go to "my forms"

2. Select your form that you want to link with DropBox

3. Click on the "submissions" button at the toolbar
click on submissions button

4. Click "display options" button on the right side of the submissions page. display options button

5. Select "send submissions to DropBox" checkbox.

Is there a way to change the folder name of the submitted files in dropbox? Right now it is an 18 digit number. Would be nice to have the option to name it based on a form field.

For this time I will answer but please post your questions to the forum.

1) Open myforms
2)Click on submissions.
3)On the opened page there is a gear icon on the right corner. 4)Click on it.
5)Click on manage Dropbox
6)You can change the folder name from there.

I have set up the drop box integration on my form but nothing seems to be happening - nothing is being uploaded to drop box but I can't see why - can you add some more detail to the above please? Thanks

@Flick It should be fixed now. Please remove integration and re-connect with Dropbox.

When saving under a clients name for example, if the same form is saved by the same client, the old form in drop box is overwritten and lost? can we have some time/date fields so PDF's are saved in the same client folder - rather than one at a time. This seams madness!!! the whole reason to save to dropbox is for record keeping - not record overwriting! looking forward to your comments.

Is there a max file size for dropbox uploads? Also, can you choose not to have a public jotform link to the uploaded file?

At the moment, there are only two options for using the dropbox function:
1) Use Default - Submission ID
2) No Folder

There is no option to chose a specific folder or am I missing it?
