How to Assign a Custom Name to a PDF Report with PDF Editor

The PDF Editor lets you create beautiful PDF templates for your submissions, and at the same time, create multiple PDF documents that you can also use to send a personalized PDF based on the user input in the form. You can also assign a custom name to the PDF file based on the field input in the form.

Changing the PDF Report’s File Name

To change the PDF report’s file name:

  1. Open the quick access menu in the Form Builder.
    Note: The quick access menu is also available in other Jotform products.
  2. Choose PDF Editor.

  1. In the PDF Editor, open the Layout Settings panel.

  1. Go to the Customize tab.
  2. Scroll down to the PDF File Name section and click the edit (pencil) icon.

  1. Click Form Fields and choose the fields that you’d like to use for the PDF file name.

The PDF Editor will automatically save the changes.
