ExtradiversHello,
my name is Wolfgang and I am developer for several customers, at the moment switching all waiver/form things to JotForm. We are super happy with the system so far and will contact sales for the enterprise agreement in the upcoming days.
I came over one issue, which i could not find in the API documentation: after receiving the webhook with all the form data i would like to download the filled and signed pdf document. I could not find the endpoint.
And for files the same: we ask our customers to upload passport image and other files, I need to be able to download this files also via the API.
I hope you can lead me to the correct endpoints / documentation.
Thank you very much for your support, and it will be a good business for Jotform, too :-)
best regards from Austria,
Wolfgang

Podo: Support AI AgentHi Wolfgang,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.
Regarding your questions about downloading filled and signed PDF documents and uploaded files via the API after receiving webhook data, here is the relevant information:
Jotform does not provide a direct API endpoint specifically for downloading the filled and signed PDF document immediately after a webhook submission. However, you can manage and download signed documents through the Sign Inbox or Jotform Tables interface where signed documents are accessible and downloadable.
For files uploaded by users (such as passport images), these files are accessible via the submission data you receive. The webhook sends submission data including URLs to the uploaded files, which you can then use to download the files programmatically.
To summarize:
- Use the webhook to receive submission data including file URLs.
- Download uploaded files using the URLs provided in the submission data.
- For signed PDFs, manage and download them from Sign Inbox or Jotform Tables manually or programmatically via those interfaces.
For more detailed visual guidance on downloading submissions and files, you can watch the video titled Guide to Downloading Form Submissions from Jotform as PDFs and Other Files at this link. For example, at 9 seconds into the video, it shows how to navigate to form submissions, and at 28 seconds, it explains filtering submissions for download.
Unfortunately, the API documentation does not currently list a specific endpoint to directly download the signed PDF document via API after webhook submission, so you may need to use the provided URLs for uploaded files and manage signed documents through the Jotform interface.
Let me know if you need further assistance or specific API documentation links.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

ExtradiversThank you very much AI :-) The files issue is clear, then. But an option to download the signed document via API is a mandatory requirement, maybe there is any way to achieve this WITHOUT needing human intervention to log in and download manually.
Thanks for your support, awaiting your (human) answer.
best regards,
Wolfgang

Podo: Support AI AgentHi Wolfgang,
Regarding your requirement to download signed documents via API without manual intervention, currently Jotform does not provide a direct API endpoint to download signed PDF documents automatically after submission.
However, you can manage and download signed documents through the Sign Inbox or Jotform Tables interfaces. In Sign Inbox, you can filter and download signed documents, and in Jotform Tables, you can access and download signed documents associated with submissions.
Jotform also offers Jotform Sign automation for forms with a Signature field, which can help automate the signing process and document management, but downloading signed PDFs via API without human intervention is not currently supported.
For now, the signed documents are best accessed and downloaded through these interfaces rather than via an API endpoint.
Let us know if you need more information on using Sign Inbox or Jotform Tables for managing signed documents.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

ExtradiversIs it possible that the signed form pdf is automatically sent via email? This could also be a solution, so that i can take over the email attachement into the customers software database.

Podo: Support AI AgentHi Wolfgang,
Yes, it is possible to have the signed form PDF automatically sent via email as an attachment. Here’s how to do it:
- Add a Signature field to your form in Form Builder.
- Enable Jotform Sign automation in your form settings under the Jotform Sign section. Select the email field to send the signed document to.
- Attach the submission PDF to your email notifications or autoresponder emails by enabling the PDF attachment option in the email settings under the Advanced tab.
This way, after the form is submitted and signed, the signed PDF will be sent automatically as an email attachment. You can then take over the email attachment into your customer's software database.
For detailed steps, you can refer to the guide on How to Include Submissions as PDF Attachment in Email Notifications.
Let me know if you need help setting this up.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
