Condiciones: Tener un campo que se muestre cuando se edita un campo

Estimados señores de Soporte, buenas tardes:

Solicito su apoyo con la configuración del campo “ESTADO DE APROBACIÓN DE GERENCIA” en el formulario.

Lo que necesito es que, al momento de editar este campo y seleccionar las opciones “Aprobado” o “Denegado”, en el campo “FECHA DE APROBACIÓN DE GERENCIA” se registre automáticamente la fecha y hora del momento de la edición, y no la fecha de creación del formulario (que es lo que ocurre actualmente).

Este comportamiento lo requiero únicamente cuando se edite el campo “ESTADO DE APROBACIÓN DE GERENCIA” dentro del formulario.

Now, coming back to your question, I checked your form and saw that the FECHA DE APROBACIÓN DE GERENCIA field is already set to the current date. See my screenshot below:

This means this gets populated with the current date when the form is accessed. If you don't want this populated if the ESTADO DE APROBACIÓN DE GERENCIA field is still not filled, then you need another Date Picker to use with the condition. Here's how to do that:

1. In Form Builder, click on Add Element on the left side of the page.

2. Under the Basic tab, scroll down the list and click on the Date Picker element.

3. In the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Settings.

4. On the left panel, click on Conditions and click on the Update/Calculate Field option.

5. Add in this condition:

And that's it. Here's a sample result:

El cambio de la fecha que actualmente usamos no deseo eliminarlo. Lo que requiero es crear otro campo, tal como me indicaste, y que el resultado de este nuevo campo se copie en el campo anterior.

I believe what my colleague Deanne showcased for you in her reply is accurate to what you mentioned.

Since you do not wish to delete the date change you're already using, Deanne was able to show how to create a form calculation field (which would be hidden) which would update the necessary date fields with the proper date according to the calculation set within the calculation widget.

Were you able to test this yourself on your form?

To keep the MANAGEMENT APPROVAL DATE field visible and not deleted, you’ll need to adjust its settings so that it always reflects the current date and time when the MANAGEMENT APPROVAL STATUS field is edited. Let me show you how:

1. In Form Builder, click on the Date Picker field and select the Gear icon to open the Date Picker Properties on the right side of the page.
2. Click on the Options tab and select choose Current as the Default Date.
3. Then, go to the Advanced tab and toggle the Read Only section to the On position.

This way, your existing date field remains visible, protected from manual edits, and will always update with the current date and time whenever the status is modified during editing.

Creo que no me dejé entender correctamente, por lo que detallo nuevamente el requerimiento.

Necesito que el campo “FECHA DE APROBACIÓN DE LA GERENCIA” se actualice automáticamente con la fecha y hora en que se edita el campo “ESTADO DE APROBACIÓN DE LA GERENCIA”.

Actualmente, el campo muestra la fecha de envío del formulario y no la fecha real en la que el gerente realiza la aprobación.

Por ejemplo:

• El formulario se envía el 03/03/2026, y en el campo aparece esa fecha de envío.
• Posteriormente, el gerente edita el campo “ESTADO DE APROBACIÓN DE LA GERENCIA” el 05/03/2026 a las 14:20 horas.

En ese caso, el campo “FECHA DE APROBACIÓN DE LA GERENCIA” debería actualizarse automáticamente con la fecha y hora 05/03/2026 – 14:20, que corresponde al momento real de la aprobación.

Agradeceré puedan apoyarnos con este ajuste o indicarnos cómo configurarlo correctamente.

La opción indicada no está funcionando como se requiere. Las pruebas que se están realizando corresponden al momento en que el formulario se envía por primera vez, pero no cuando el campo es editado posteriormente.

Te pido, por favor, que puedas realizar la prueba editando un formulario ya enviado. Verás que, al modificar el campo, la fecha no se actualiza; continúa mostrando la fecha original de envío y no la fecha y hora en que se realizó la edición.

I understand now that you need the MANAGEMENT APPROVAL DATE field to automatically update with the exact date and time whenever the MANAGEMENT APPROVAL STATUS field is modified during editing, rather than showing the original submission date.

Currently, the Date Picker with Current as the default value will only capture the date/time at the moment of submission or when the form is first opened. It doesn't automatically refresh when a field is edited later. To achieve this, you’ll need to use a hidden Date field combined with a condition that updates the visible MANAGEMENT APPROVAL DATE field whenever the status changes. Let me show you how:

1. In Form Builder, click on the Add Element button on the left side of the page.
2. Drag and drop the Date Picker Element.
3. Then, click on the Gear icon to open the Date Picker Properties on the right side of the page.
4. Change the Field Label on the General tab, select the Options tab, and select Current in the Default Date section.
5. Go to the Advanced tab and toggle the Read Only and Hide field sections to the On position.

Now, let's set up the conditions:

1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Settings.

2. Next, click on Conditions on the left of the page.

3. Now, click on Update/Calculate Field to create your condition.

4. Set the conditions like you see below and click on Save:
