How can users save their progress when filling the form?

    Hi Margarita,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Unfortunately, our Spanish Support agents are busy helping other Jotform users at the moment. I'll try to help you in English using Google Translate, but you can reply in whichever language you feel comfortable using. Or, if you'd rather have support in Spanish, let us know and we can have them do that. But, keep in mind that you'd have to wait until they're available again.

Now, let me help you with your question. You need first to enable the Save and Continue Later feature on your form to be able to let your users save their form-filling progress and continue later to submit it. Let me show you how to do it:

    • In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Settings.
    • On the next page, select Show More Options at the bottom.
    • Scroll down to Save and Continue Later and Enable it.

You can view all the Incomplete Submissions that have been saved on your form via your Jotform Tables. Let me show you how to do it:

    • Go to Jotform Tables, and click the tab’s three-dot menu.
    • Choose Incomplete Submissions. Here you will find all saved records that are not yet fully submitted.

Ok, I have seen that option; but I see the "SAVE" is something that the user would need to do. Is there a way that is done when they switch to the next page?

And also, how would the system identify that a certain form data pertains to them in particular, so that they continue filling it in "later"?

    Hi Margarita,

Thanks for your response. Unfortunately, there isn't an option to auto-save the progress when switching to the next page. You can add several save buttons throughout the pages in the form, however, these would have the same function as my colleague Mohamed explained in his response and the user would have to do it manually.

When the user saves a draft, the changes will be saved in Jotform Tables, where only the owner of the table can access the information. The user can only access the draft to continue filling it out by being redirected to a specific URL from the email sent to the email address entered in the form when the draft is saved. This is why no user could continue filling out the form for another user's draft.

Reach out again if there is anything else we can help you with.
