Question about your video

    Hi

based on this video, I have additional questions:

    https://www.google.com/search?q=jotforms+gsheet&sxsrf=AJOqlzVZZfW9ZkU2Y4CwpHzK1FGWgg2_qQ:1678773855791&source=lnms&tbm=vid&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwj7o9T639r9AhUXiVwKHXqlC6IQ_AUoAnoECAEQBA&biw=1388&bih=796&dpr=2#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:6a3b4b66,vid:5gBze0BWgO0

1.can I determine into which columns the data will be mapped from the forms?

For example user fills out name, and name should appear in gsheet in C column not A column...etc

2.Also when using your tables instead of gsheet, can I interact with the user...for example I add informations in new columns, comments

price infos etc...and the user gets a notification and response via email or via the app, to check the response..

Then user types another response and I receive it back into my table...and one last final response from me, telling him all is complete should

go to the customer...ideally with selected infos from the form only...so it will not be the complete fields from the form..

In real life I have following situation:

I have a ecommerce business and I sell products on demand, which can be requested from the customer..

So he fills in, name, email and product links (of desired shops in another country)

I then check the product, weight, price etc..add my infos to it

he then gets the final price as a feedback..and accepts or rejects it..

then I will add that product into my store..with a link

and notify user, that the requested item is in my store for him to buy...

let me know if this is possible

    thank you

    Thomas

    Hi Thomas,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I understand you want to map your Jorform submissions with your Google Sheets. Unfortunately, you can not map fields between your form and Google Sheets. This means that when you integrate the form, the integration will automatically create a column for like name, email, etc.; after that, you can edit it in your Google Sheets.

The interaction currently works one way only. From Jotform to Google Sheets but not back. If you make the change, you should make it in your submission table or form.

For the approval / denied flow, you might check our guide on How to Create an Approval Flow in Jotform, but I will also consult my colleagues on the best way for you here.

We need just a bit more time to come up with a solution. We’ll get back to you as soon as we have one.

    Hello Thomas,

Thanks for getting back to us. As my colleague explained, approval flow would be the best solution. Would it be possible to have them try that once? If it does not work, can you tell us why and what problems you see with it? After we hear back from you, we’ll have a better idea of what’s going on and how to help.

Give it a try and let us know if you need any help.
