Podo: Support SpecialistHi Comunella,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.
Regarding your question about resetting the upload space if you have exceeded it with a free account, unfortunately, the upload space limit for free accounts cannot be reset or cleared automatically.
However, you can free up space by deleting uploaded files or submissions that contain uploaded files from your account. Here's how to do it:
- Delete uploaded files attached to submissions: Open your Jotform Submission Table, click on the uploaded file, then in the preview window click the trash can icon to delete the file.
- Delete and purge submissions with uploaded files: Select the submissions with uploaded files in your Submission Table, click Delete, then move them to Trash. Afterwards, go to Trashed Entries, select the deleted submissions, and click Delete Forever to purge them permanently.
- Clear your form caches: If your upload limit still shows as exceeded after deleting files and purging submissions, clear your form caches to ensure the system recalculates your usage.
Alternatively, you can upgrade your account to a paid plan to increase your upload space and other limits. Upgrading gives you more storage, more submissions, and additional features. You can visit the Pricing Page to see available plans and benefits.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Eduardo Jotform SupportHi comunelladog,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Our Italian Support agents are busy helping other Jotform users right now, so I'll try to help you in English using Google Translate, but you can reply in whichever language you feel comfortable using. Or, if you'd rather have support in Italian, let us know and we can have them do that. But, it might take a while until they're available again.
Now, coming back to your question, you can delete and purge submissions to free up space on your account in just a few steps. Let me first show you how to delete a submission:
- In Jotform Tables, select the submission you want to delete.
- Next, click on Delete at the top right side of the Tables page.
- Now, in the Confirmation window that opens, click on Move to Trash.
Before deleting, make sure to download the submission first so you have a backup copy. Deleting submissions won’t free up space on your account, and they can be recovered within 30 days. After 30 days, they will be permanently removed. To free up space on your account, you can purge the submissions. Let me show you how:
- In Jotform Tables, click on the Three Dots icon next to your form title in the tabs.
- Then, click on Trashed Entries.
- Next, in the window that opens on the right side of the page, select the submission you want to delete, and then click on Delete Forever.
- Now, in the Confirmation window that opens, click on Delete.
If your account upload limit is still showing as over the limit, it is also recommended to clear the form cache after purging the data.
Reach out again if there’s anything else we can help you with.
