Is it possible to add a textual input possibility to multiple choice questions?

    Kind regards,

    Hi Peter,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Unfortunately, only the Single Choice and Multiple Choice elements have the option to add the Other option in the field. If these elements do not form what you intend to achieve on your form, you can use the Dropdown element, add a Short text element, and conditionally show it if the other option is selected from the Dropdown. Let me show you how:

    1. In Form Builder, add a Short Text element under the dropdown, set it to hidden, and add the other option on your Dropdown Menu.
    2. Next, set a Show/Hide Condition to show the hidden Short Text field when the other is selected. How to add other option that allows user to type in a text in a Dropdown element? Image 1 Screenshot 30
    3. That's it, do the same to the other dropdowns.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Thank you for this example. It's clear to me now!
