    Hello,

Why when I receive submissions they are from jotform and not from the name of the client?

It used to be the name of the client.

    The form is below

    Thank you

    Hi Franoise,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.

When you receive submissions and the sender name shows as "Jotform" instead of your client's name, it usually means the notification email settings are using Jotform's default sender details.

Let me show you how to fix this:

    1. Go to your form's Settings tab.
    2. Click on Emails.
    3. Edit the Notification email.
    4. Under the Sender Name field, select the form field that contains your client's name. This will make the submission emails show the client's name instead of "Jotform."
    5. Save the changes.

This will ensure that future submission emails display the name of your client as the sender.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

It was set just the way you explained and still is written: from jotform instead of the client's name

    Hi Franoise,

Since the sender name still shows as "Jotform" even though you have set it to your client's name, here are some additional steps you can try to resolve this issue:

    1. Check the Sender Email setting: In your Notification Email settings, ensure that the Sender Email is set to an authorized email address, such as "noreply@jotform.com" or a verified custom email. This affects how the sender name appears.
    2. Use a Custom Sender Email: You can set up a custom sender email using SMTP settings. This allows the emails to be sent from your own email address, which helps display the client's name properly. You can find instructions on how to set up SMTP here.
    3. Check your email client: Sometimes, email clients override the sender name. Verify if the emails show correctly in different email clients or webmail interfaces.

Let us know if you need more help with setting up a custom sender email or if the issue persists.

    Hi Eric,

I checked your notification email settings and saw that the Sender Name is configured to use the Name field from your form, and the Reply-To Email is set to the Email field. I also reviewed the email logs, and they show the correct sender name and email address being used.

Based on that, everything appears to be configured properly on the form’s end. If you're seeing something different on your side, can you take a screenshot of what’s happening and send it to us? We’ve got a quick guide on how to do that here.

Keep us updated and let us know if you need any more help.
