Auto Complete Widget: Increase the limit of number of entries

Bonjour, j'ai besoin d'utiliser l'extension "Auto complete", toutefois le nombre de caractères est limité, hors j'ai besoin de mettre une grande liste, auriez vous un équivalent à cette extension?

Auto-Complete allows you to select the values based on the user inputs. There is no alternative widget at present which can replace Auto-Complete.

However, could you please elaborate on what challenges are you facing when you use this field? It will allow us to browse for other options we may have available for you. Are you referring to the limit of number items allowed in the drop-down field or in the search window?

When the user starts to enter his product code or the name of his product, proposals will appear in the product field. there are more than 17000 references and auto complete does not handle as many characters.

I think the Autocomplete widget limits the number of options based on the characters and not the actual items list. You may not be able to get it working with these many records.

Let us know if this works for you else we'll need to raise a request with our Development team to see if it's possible to get the character limit increased. There is no timeline when this will be implemented though.

The user must type his code or the name of the product in the field and must have proposals, the 2 alternatives you propose do not do that. Autocomplete does exactly what I need but limits the number of characters. Do you think you can increase the limit?

Unfortunately, we can not be sure if the character limit can be increased, but we can submit a feature request for this. As far as I know, the current character limit is up to 50 000 characters. 

I can suggest to check if you can split the options for several ranges and to add few autocomplete widgets to the form.
