Have received 3 notifications. But displays only one submission

Asked by MartinJeanJacques on September 03, 2015 at 08:16 AM

    Bonjour,

I've cloned your JotForm to my account and notice that there is an Edit link in the auto-responder which enables the user to edit the submission.

The user should have edited the submission that resulted in the same submission ID with different names. Since it is only one submission, JotForm will be displaying the latest submission. For each submission edit, you'll be receiving a notification with EDIT in the subject line.

    Hope this information helps!!

    Bonjour,

    Merci

    Cordialement J.J Martin

After submitting a form, going Back to a form in your browser would always create new submissions.

    http://www.jotformeu.com/form/51971762132354

What your users have done instead is, they have actually used the Edit Submission link found in their emails:

This takes them to a special link to edit their existing submission, similar to the one below:

    http://submit.jotformeu.com/form.php?formID=51971762132354&sid=######&mode=edit

Only when using the Back button after submitting their Edit Submission, they would be taken back to their own submission instead of the new one. This is because this user has used Edit Submission, and kept navigating Back to that Edit Submission page - instead of opening your form fresh.

In other words, your user has:

    1. Submitted a form.
    2. Edited their submission by using the Edit Submission link.
    3. Used Back button, which has taken them back to the Edit Submission link.
    4. Used Back button again, which has once again taken them to the Edit Submission.

Anyone submitting your form normally, and then navigating back to the form, will be making another submission after navigating back. I hope this helps.

Please let us know if you need further assistance.
