    Hi Mariska,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.

Let me help you with that:

To calculate and download scores by category in Excel from your form submissions, you can use Jotform Tables and Reports features as follows:

    1. Group entries by category in Jotform Tables: Open your form submissions in Jotform Tables. Use the column menu to select Group by for the relevant question columns (e.g., Question 1, 9, 12 for Category 1 and Question 2, 10, 13 for Category 2). This will organize your entries by the answers, making it easier to calculate scores per category.
    2. Calculate total scores: You can add a calculation column in Jotform Tables to sum the scores for each category based on the grouped questions. This allows you to see the total score per category for each submission.
    3. Download the results: Once you have the scores organized, click on Download All in the upper-right corner of Jotform Tables. Choose Excel as the file format to download your data with the scores by category included.

This way, you will have an Excel file with a table showing the scores for each question by category and the total scores per category.

    Dear,

I have now competed the calculations in my form: https://form.jotform.com/260882323633356

It shows the total amount per category.

Now I have added a calculation score field: This field should show, the score of question 1, 9, 17, 25,33

    (that is category 1)

For category 2 I have added another field to show the scores of question: 2, 10, 18, 26 and 34

It does not show the scores when I download an Excel file. How can I solve this please

Also: when I download the score It shows the scores not before the total scores of the category. In the form I have added the fields in the right order. When I download these it does not show them in that order. How can I change this please?

    Kind regards,

    Mariska Venhovens

    Hi Mariska,

You have set up calculation fields to group scores by category, and while they display correctly in the form, they are either missing or out of order when exported to Excel. Your goal is to ensure all calculated values are included and organized properly in the downloaded file.

When I cloned your form and tested it, I was unable to replicate the difficulty. The calculations for each set of questions are working correctly on my end and returning the expected values. Check out the screencast below:
