    Bonjour,

    Nous souhaitons générer des formulaires via notre site internet, et nous nous posons les questions suivantes:

    • Les signatures sur le formulaires sont elles authentifiés, et si un document est fourni par la suite ?
    • Ou se trouve le serveur ou les données sont stockés ?

    Hello Dan,

    Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Responders can leave e-signatures to the forms using the Signature widget. A PDF submission report can also be generated and sent to the email after filling out the form. Let me show you how this works:

    • In Form Builder, click on the add element button on the left side of the screen.
    • Click on the Signature to add it to your form.

    It is also possible to customize the PDF submission report. Let me walk you through it:

    • In Form Builder, click on the downward arrow icon at the top left corner of the page and select PDF editor.
    • You'll be brought to the PDF editor where you can use the tools on the left or move and resize elements around to customize the PDF template.

    We want to generate forms via our website, and we ask ourselves the following questions:


    • Are the signatures on the forms authenticated, and if a document is provided afterwards?
    • Where is the server where the data is stored?

    Hello Dan,

    Thanks for getting back to us. The signatures are legally binding in several places; however, we do recommend checking this with your lawyer in order to be sure if this would work for you. Check out this guide about adding e-signature.

    When a form is submitted, a pdf document can be generated. It is also possible to send the pdf document to the users using the autoresponse email. To send the PDF document along with the emails, I'll share the steps:

    1. While you are in the Form Builder, open Settings from the top navigation.
    2. Click the Emails tab on the left to configure the email settings for your form.
    3. Hover on the Email Notification and click on the edit (pen) icon.
    4. On the configuration interface, click on the Advanced tab to navigate to advanced settings.
    5. Enable the PDF Attachment option.

    Jotform servers are co-located in a cloud-based architecture with Google Cloud and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Google Cloud data centers are hosted in Iowa (US). AWS data centers are located both in Germany, Frankfurt (EU), and the US and Virginia (US).
